This creative job was first initiated by our great grandfather Shri. Balkrishna Ganpat Sable in 1907-1908 on basic scale. With overtaking various problems of soil availability, soil preparation, raw material, molds & structures, coloring and other systems, he established this job as a plant which then grew on hard works of him & his next generations and now became a big tree of ganpati crearions. In next generation Shri. Vishwas Balkrishna Sable given his best to this job and convey this talent & art to his children, then his Five sons Shri. Dilip Vishwas Sable, Shri. Pradip Vishwas Sable, Shri. Nandkumar Vishwas Sable, Shri Sanjay Vishwas Sable and Shri. Rajan Vishwas Sable have added colors of their strengths to it with the support of other family members and reached beyond the limits of Poladpur tahsil.
Now the fourth generation is giving this job, the glory of their excellence and creative innovations. Among them, Sarika, Rinali, Manali, Jaydeep, Sonika and Mohnish are leading with their versatile capability in this art and little vrinda & Devdatta have also started their lessons of coloring. Now molding & structuring is being updated as Plaster of Paris and other soil structures are added with Shadu soil structures, coloring systems have updated with various colors like water based poster colors, Oil paints, Abhrak, metallic colors, velvets and other variety, various effects have added to it like fluorescence effect, laser magic, luminescence etc. and working changed to spraying, texturing, designing with applying colors using brush. Jewelry works & ornaments designing added glory to the statue. The another part is painting eyes of the statue is being upgraded and looks as if Lord Ganesha see and bless to his devotee.
Lots of changes & lots of updations have done in various systems related this work. The job that started with one statue, is now enlarged on the scale of 1000 to 1100 statues every year. We are creating the worship of Lord Ganesha as his statue and spraying colors of ancient and precious heritage and traditions with the blessings of all his devotees.
